History

Dr. M. A. Rahim International School is named after Prof. Dr. M. A. Rahim, a Rajshahi University faculty who achieved his Doctor of Philosophy degree from SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies), London University, United Kingdom. As a man from Barishal, he dedicated his life for academic, professional and moral excellences. In the Department of History, as an academician he was well-known for multidisciplinary knowledge and passed away in 2012. He believed in the human dignity as a tool for human rights and development. To him human dignity is a goal of education which has been prioritized as developing the human personality. The philosophy behind this basic education is to treat person with dignity and participate in making the community enlightened.

The mission of the Dr. M. A. Rahim International School program is to provide kids’ quality education in a safe environment for social and family values. The school enhances children’s mental and physical health within the dimension of 21st Century skills through which this school will walk on the trajectory of new future.

This is an English Medium (Version) School providing international flavor with the National Curriculum, going to be started in January 2024. This is built to accommodate students from Playgroup to Grade 3 (this academic year) and will be extended gradually up to Grade 12. The coming years this school will have two wings: One is with English Version (National Curriculum) and the second one is with English Medium (International Curriculum). The school intends to provide a high quality local and international community. This school will ensure dedicated, trained and experienced faculties to provide our students with high quality of intellectual and emotional intelligence in multidimensional community. The focus is to take care of the students ’education in an intensive and interactive way. Our broad and balanced curriculum reflects the importance of understanding practical life-skills within the parameter of wisdom, neutrality and humanity.
